Smooth and fruity, with a bit of spice to liven things up.
This Rhône Red warms the cockles, and all the juicy fruit flavours make it easy to quaff. Maybe get two bottles rather than just the one…

Grenache, Syrah
France, Pays de Vaucluse
The South East of France, near the “City of Popes” Avignon – so called because of the presence of Popes there in medieval times.
2018
Eric Monnin makes this one, making sure he brings out the fantastic fruit and smoothness that Vaucluse grapes are famous for. His objective is to make wines that can be enjoyed on their own but also work well with food. From our tasting of this spicy senorita we are happy to say he did a damn fine job.
The southern Rhône valley is an idyllic part of the world. Rock-hewn villages and sun baked vineyards give birth to this wine, and there is no doubt it is a fantastic place to come from. When you take your first sip, take a moment conjure up an image of the run down farm-house, the vineyard, the sunset… #Perfection
Rustic is the name of the game here. Stews, slow roasted joints or anything with a rich winey sauce.
